Delivering the best of both worlds, the SubZero Slick Lick Vintage Overdrive Pedal is the perfect blend of power and practicality The most impressive feature is the toggle switch which engages the integrated boost circuit, greatly expanding your options. “Normal” instantly gives you that vintage tone associated with many seminal albums, whilst "Boost" provides an additional 6dB of gain to increase saturation in your tube amplifier to the point of break-up. Alternatively, this pedal can generate thick drive all on its own while the flexible controls allow you to unlock a range of driven sounds:

• Gain- Adjust the gain control to determine the exact amount of overdrive present in your signal. Lower values will add a subtle “crunch” to your sound, whilst higher values make the signal hotter and deliver dirtier tones.
• Tone - Tone acts as an equaliser. When positioned central your signal will be uncoloured. Turning the knob to the left will produce a darker tone, whilst right offers a brighter sound. Adjust this according to suit the style of music and arrangement.
• Volume - Use this to adjust the Slick Lick's output level when the pedal is engaged.

The secret to all classic overdrive sounds lies in their analog circuitry, the Slick Lick is no exception. Analog components help lend a distinctive warmth that cannot be replicated. This brings out the richness and vibrancy of the overdrive with sparkling overtones and a natural sound quality. The 'Tone' control allows you to alter the brightness of your signal. Place the knob central for a flat, neutral tone. For a darker sound move the knob to the left. Should you desire a brighter tone then position it to the right. 'Gain' sets the intensity of the overdrive, and 'Level' provides your volume control. Use these in conjunction to carve your dream drive tone. The true bypass design guarantees your dry signal will remain untouched so this is perfect for times when your sound just needs that extra lift.
