The flat neck can be played very comfortably in all 20 frets, which get optimal access through a generouscutaway. To round off the instrument in a tasteful way, the manufacturer uses selected precious woods for the top, whose exciting grain is emphasized by a high-gloss varnish.
Construction and woods
Since the body is made of Lyrachord, the bass frequencies are colored with a pleasant warmth, which is not least due to the mid-depth arching. Thanks to a top made of laminated flamed koa, the mid frequencies are clearly defined, so that both strummings and pickings come across perfectly. The flat Nato neck is equipped with an Ovangkol fingerboard, which is easy and obliging to grip.
Hardware and Design
A fitted saddle and 42.8 mm wide nut ensure clean intonation throughout the 643 mm scale, while oil-encapsulated die-cast tuners guarantee easy and precise tuning. The top wood is bordered by multi-ply bindings, which are aesthetically matched to the double-ringed abalone soundhole rosette and the filigree dot inlays in the fretboard.
