Recorded at the second attempt at Sawmills Studio in Cornwall in early 1994, and mastered at Johnny Marr’s studio in Manchester, it features the band’s original drummer Tony McCarroll. Coming out shortly after the singles ‘Supersonic’,’Shakermaker’ and ‘Live Forever’, the album went straight into the UK albums chart at #1. It has gone on to sell over 8 million copies and is seen as a true classic.
