This is the 2018 reissue of Jeff Wayne’s 1978 concept album, which was a huge success and featured a roll call of stars: Phil Lynott, David Essex, Julie Covington and Justin Hayward on vocals, and Richard Burton as the narrator. The first single from the album, ‘Forever Autumn’, featuring Justin Hayward on vocals, reached number 5 in the UK singles chart in June 1978, and the album has sold over 3 million copies. It is presented here over 2 discs, in a gatefold sleeve with an accompanying booklet, and is pressed on 180g vinyl.
