The Neptune Blue Moon is truly a one-of-a-kind instrument, delighting both players and audiences alike with its stunning visuals and unique tone.
A relatively recent addition to the Faith line-up, your Faith Neptune Blue Moon is bound to fascinate and excite you at every turn.
The design of the Faith Neptune draws inspiration from Patrick James Eggle's renowned 'Saluda' body shape. This body shape, referred to as the 'Baby-Jumbo' due to its 16" lower bout, offers a powerful and robust sound without the bulk of a 'full-sized' 17” Jumbo guitar. The Blue Moon Neptune model, like many other Faith Neptune guitars, comes with a cutaway which gives easy access to the upper frets as well as reducing the physical size just a little more.
Mango trees grow freely and abundantly across Indonesia, so the woods used for Blue Moon guitars are purchased locally in Java, Indonesia from recognised timber merchants under the SVLK Indonesian Legal Wood scheme.
Mango has an intriguing character in terms of tone. It's not as loud and forceful as rosewood or as mellow as mahogany, but it has its own particular warmth. The overall tone may be described as dark and brooding, with the frequency range beginning somewhat below that of mahogany and fading off slightly earlier in the mid-range. This lowered level of resonant overtones, similar to that found on maple guitars, makes the Mango-bodied Blue Moon well-controlled, balanced, and feedback-resistant. It’s just as ‘at home’ on a loud stage as ‘at home’ itself.
One of the benefits of all-solid, natural tonewoods is that each piece of solid wood utilised will differ in natural coloration and grain patterns. Once stained with the Bluemoon burst, some naturally light patches of wood will exhibit bright, vivid blues, and some darker areas will look almost black or ebony-like. When matched with the solid, Flamed Maple binding and Ebony fittings, your Blue Moon will be as much of a one-off as you and your music.
Amplifying your Blue Moon is simplethanks to the Fishman INK3 preamp and sonicore pickup system. The undersaddle piezo pickup is controlled by a side-mounted, flush-fitting preamp with 3 band EQ and a built-in tuner. The output socket is mounted into the end of the guitar with an ingeniously integrated battery box and separate strap button.
To ensure that your beautiful new instrument is well protected and cared for, your guitar is complete with a woodshell hardcase, with padded plush interior. We recommend that you keep your guitar in the hardcase whenever not in use.
