Aggressive crunch. Snarling bite. Ferocious tone. There's a lot of things the Epiphone SG is famous for. Since its inception in the 1960s, this versatile axe has changed the course of heavy music for good. Now it's back with a fresh new look, ready to give the future of guitar playing the punch it deserves.
Vintage meets modern. The SG Modern is every bit as fierce as the original legend. Fitted with two Probucker pickups, you're sure to get bite that's just as strong as its bark. Get ready to let your tone off the leash. Both humbuckers work together to bring you tight, responsive low end, glassy, screaming highs, and everything in between. This is versatility like you've never heard it before.
Tonal sculpting for the versatile player. Whatever style you love, the SG Modern is the perfect fit. Dial your tone with push/pull coil split, phase switch, and sensitive tone pots. Want your humbuckers to shine and shimmer? Looking to balance your frequencies? Need more highs in your mix? It's all possible. All of the time.
An iconic design. The SG was forged from fire and brimstone. With its signature double pointed cutaways, you'd be mistaken for thinking this guitar has the horns of the devil. But don't be intimidated by its devastating good looks. The Epiphone SG Modern is smooth to the touch, fitting snugly in your hands with its contoured curves. Crafted from solid mahogany, this is an axe that resonates with the full force of both pickups.
Go from 0 – 100 on a slim taper neck that helps players shred even faster. Whether you're riffing up high or chugging down low, you'll always find it easy to play your riffs. No strain. No hard work. No problem.
The SG is the ultimate partner in crime for seasoned slayers and total beginners alike. Every note is accessible thanks to 24 medium jumbo frets and a 12" fingerboard radius. But it's the ebony fretboard that's the SG's true secret weapon. Alongside effortless playability, this impressive tonewood resonates with crunchy sustain. Rock and metal just got a new hero.
Great tone is nothing without great tuning. With the Epiphone SG Modern, you get both. Every single performance. Discover impeccable intonation from a Locktone ABR Tune-O-Matic bridge. This historic design will have your strings singing in key no matter where you are. Whether you're gigging the local circuit, hitting the road on your world tour, or practising at home, you'll always be playing your best.
Gigging can be tough, so you need a guitar that is up to the challenge. The SG Modern comes equipped with Grover Locking Rotomatic machine heads, keeping your tuning rock solid at all times. Renowned for their rigid stability, these locking tuners help to stop your strings going from sharp to flat. String changes are easy, too, so you'll always be ready to put on a great show. Pitch perfect playing. Every step of the way.
String issues? Not with the Epiphone SG. Experience consistent quality with the Graph Tech nut. That means no flat spots, no dead strings, and no tuning problems. Add to that increased bass response, mid, and high end harmonics, and you've got tone that's sure to turn heads.
