With this all-inclusive package, players are equipped not just to begin, but to thrive—ensuring durability, ease of use, and longevity right out of the box.
What is a Treble (Alto) Recorder?
Treble recorders—also known as ‘Alto’ recorders—are pitched a fifth lower than descant (soprano) recorders and play in the f′ – g‴ register. Their mellower, more resonant tone makes them a natural next step for students who have mastered the descant, and they are a central voice in recorder ensembles.
With slightly wider finger spacing and a rich tonal palette, the treble recorder allows players to explore deeper repertoire and harmonies. The Aulos 709BW Haka, with its Baroque (English) fingering, ensures a smooth and familiar transition for advancing players.
Engineered for Excellence – Crafted in Japan
Since 1954, Aulos has set the standard in recorder innovation, with instruments trusted worldwide by educators and professionals. The 709BW Haka continues this tradition. Crafted from high-grade ABS resin with a wood-grain finish, it combines the beauty and tonal depth of a traditional wooden recorder with the resilience of modern materials. Aulos’s precision engineering ensures consistent tuning, expressive sound, and durability.
The curved windway, carefully designed bore, and double holes deliver a tone that is both clear and resonant, with excellent projection—ideal for both ensemble and solo playing. Manufactured under strict Japanese quality control, the Aulos 709BW embodies the same design principles found in professional-level recorders.
