The mahogany body with the typical PRS doublecut design carries a solid curly maple top, while the glued neck is made of mahogany and a rosewood fingerboard with the coveted Bird inlays. The not-too-strong "Pattern" neck profilealso promises the best conditions for smooth implementation of classic and modern playing techniques of any genre.

A flexible all-around guitar for gigs and recording sessions, the PRS Studio impresses with flexible guitar tones for almost any genre. In bridge position, the popular PRS 58/15 LT Vintage-Style humbuckernot only delivers powerful tones for bluesy and rocking overdrive, but also the unmistakable punch and bite of a bridge single-coil thanks to the coil-split option. In the neck and middle positions, on the other hand, narrow PRS Narrowfield pickups promise the bass- and treble-driven snap of classic single-coils, without extraneous noise clouding the top-notch performance. The pickups of the PRS Studio are controlled via a classic circuit with a 5-way switch and general volume and tone controls.
