The MIA SA Blues Blue is the semi-acoustic guitar from “MIA” series by Eko guitars. It features Pawlonia body, solid Maple top, Mahogany neck and Eko WPC resin fingerboard. Inspired by the historic Eko Barracuda, the MIA SA is a much lighter and thinner hollow body, with two vintage-style Alnico 5 humbucker pickups splitable to single-coil, Volume controls, two Tones with push-pull for split coil, 3-way toggle switch, stoptail bridge and redesigned headstock with tuners aligned perfectly with the string path to avoid friction points on the nut. A guitar with a vintage style, but with a sound suitable for modern music as well.
MIA SA BLUES BLUE BY EKO GUITARS OVERVIEW
The MIA SA (SemiAcoustic) represents the comeback of a highly successful Eko guitar. A hollow body inspired by the historic Eko Barracuda, but in a slightly lightened version: thinner profile, more “stylish” shape. A SemiAcoustic in Solid wood, made light by the choice of Pawlonia ; the top is solid maple while the neck is mahogany. The headstock of the MIA SA allows the strings to have a perfectly linear trajectory from the tuners to the bridge, eliminating friction points on the nut typical of semi-acoustics and allowing for an instrument that stays more in tune and with excellent sustain characteristics. The “vintage” style of the pickups hides two humbuckers (in Alnico 5) decidedly powerful and balanced that find in a push-push potentiometer the possibility of split increasing the versatility of this instrument.
- Solid maple top
- Two humbucker pickups with split coils
- Headstock with tuners aligned with string trajectory
