Ranger Futura is the electrified acoustic guitar by Eko Guitars, amplified with the Fishman Flex Plus T system. It comes in Dreadnought shape with a solid Italian Spruce top, figured Oukumè back and sides, figured Oukumè neck and South American Roupana fingerboard. Ideal for the guitarist/songwriter who likes to accompany himself especially with strumming technique, perfect for live and studio contexts.
RANGER FUTURA BY EKO GUITARS OVERVIEW
Ranger Futura by Eko Guitars was created to celebrate perhaps the Italian brand’s most representative guitar, the Eko Ranger. Ranger Futura is designed and assembled in Italy using solid Italian Spruce for the top, flamed Oukumè for the sides, back and neck, South American Roupanà for the fingerboard and bridge.
The bracing, specially designed for Ranger Futura, is made entirely of solid Italian Spruce. The newly designed truss rod involves the use of three carbon rods positioned and fixed inside the neck. A basic characteristic is the neck/body joint that, as in the historic Eko Ranger, is made using four screws. This choice, as well as preserving the Eko tradition, taken as an example by other important and emblazoned brands, allows, from a production point of view, to keep the cost lower and at the same time give the instrument interesting characteristics of attack, speed of response and sustain: especially when compared to guitars in the same price range.
The Decal rosette, of Seventies inspiration, is the detail that immediately catapults us into the atmosphere of the era. The soundhole has an ivory-coloured abs binding.
It is equipped with the Fishman FLX-CAA-AA Flex Plus-T amplification system, which, thanks to the Sonicore under-saddle piezo, the adjustable timbre via volume, bass and treble controls and the integrated tuner, allows complete control over its sound. Tuning is stable and precise thanks to Grover tuning machines.
